It's been wet this last week in June in eastern Iowa. Lime Creek was particularly exciting - while the crew was attending a Practical Farmers of Iowa field day at Dick Sloan's farm in the Lime watershed on Thursday, June 19, over 1.6 inches of rain fell in one hour. The total storm that day caused Lime Creek to rise over five feet in two hours. Fortunately, our installation of a NitraTax (for constant nitrate monitoring) and an ISCO sampler (for event sampling) came through, and we have some interesting data from the event to analyze. We also had a NitraTax installed monitoring tile line discharge during this event.
