The city was very prepared, and we had several days of good weather to sandbag and get ready. It was estimated that Kohawk students, staff, and faculty filled about 10% of the estimated quarter-million sandbags that were placed prior to today.
This is the view from campus - looking out from down near the Eby Annex and Physical Plant toward 380. This picture was taken near the time of the crest, which was around 22 ft (much lower than 2008, but the second highest recorded value). As you can see, Coe Road was completely under water. The river is expected to slowly recede for the rest of the week.
