Most of the group attended the University of Iowa Public Policy Center's conference in Des Moines - "Iowa's Drinking Water - Could Flint Happen Here?"  Great lineup of speakers and topics (as well as a visit to Zombie Burger after the meeting).

Heard from Dana Kolpin of the USGS in Iowa City that CWQL alum Kendra Miner is doing well - see what she's up to on the USGS Science in Iowa Facebook page.

And check out the Des Moines Register's series on the Raccoon River - nice pictures and an overview of water quality in Iowa.
