Check out the field day at the Benton Tama Nutrient Reduction project - front page in the Cedar Rapids Gazette. Cover crop evangelist Ray Archuleta spoke at the event, and a saturated buffer was installed to reduce nitrate inputs from drainage tile. (CWQL will be doing the laboratory work for the project.) The Gazette followed up with an article featuring the EPA regional administrator speaking about the Nutrient Reduction Strategy to a well-prepared group of middle-school students in Des Moines.
